Savion Glover 'A Force of nature' returns to The Center For The Arts, JH

Last night at The Center for The Arts , the Jackson Hole community was graced with the presence of the world renowned tap dancer Savion Glover and Holy S**t did we witness power, grace, transparency and unadulterated magic. Glover, as Babs Case Artistic Director of Dancers’ Workshop stated is “ Other Worldly”, the love for his craft transcends time and space and if you were in the audience and weren’t affected by the magnitude of this force of nature than perhaps take a second to check your pulse! Since 2017 Glover and fellow hoofer Marshall Davis Jr. have been coming out to Jackson Hole and have built a relationship with Dancers’ Workshop and the rest of the community. Through their teaching and lecture demonstrations at Jackson Hole Middle School, Jackson Hole High School and the Senior Center Of Jackson Hole they have brought diversity and enthusiasm to dance experiences . Last night I was reminded of how powerful watching someone in their element can be and I am so grateful for having witnessed something extremely special and rare. Glover who has an eclectic range of other talents besides hoofing , he openly thanked and dedicated a number to the fearless woman Babs Case who without her none of this would have been possible . It takes the belief of one person and the support of several partners to make a difference in any community! A BIG THANK YOU to all that helped and continue to recognize that ART from any medium can make a huge impact and difference and can help us further nurture our own creative minds and bodies.
